About the Role
The Service Manager position reports to the Axl Mechanical Director and will lead, support and
coordinate commercial HVAC maintenance, service, and sales.
Foster and enhance owner, asset/property manager, client and vendor relations
Publish and coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and technician work orders
Oversee equipment inspections with field technicians to record areas of deficiency and required
Manage budgets and financial reporting, ensuring customer charges are correct and all costs captured.
Manage and oversee field operations and client satisfaction
Estimate and quote requested work, ensuring successful performance against quoted rates
Develop and administer job contracts and subcontract agreements
Interact with leadership teams, including owners, vendors and internal organization
Maintain strong working relationships with key vendor partners
Necessary Skills & Expertise
Extensive background in commercial HVAC. Sales experience preferred.
Thorough knowledge of maintenance processes, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and
Experience and proficiency with work order systems and preventative maintenance.
Efficient written and verbal communication abilities; experience with business computer
applications including Microsoft
Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings,
specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
