About the Role
The HVAC Service Technician will work under the direct supervision of the HVAC Manager to perform all aspects of commercial HVAC service requests. This position will be able to locate and diagnose maintenance problems on equipment, conduct warranty services and quickly perform emergency repairs on certain types of equipment items.
Responsibilities
Perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation and alteration of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment and facilities.
Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment.
Diagnose defects, and install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilating, refrigeration, and air-conditioning units.
Operate specialized machinery, equipment and tools utilized in the repair, installation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Maintain routine records and prepare reports.
Meet schedules and timelines as dictated by the type of work performed
Necessary Skills & Expertise
3-5 years’ experience in commercial/residential HVAC repair.
Ability to maintain organized records and use work order system.
Good communication skills with customers and employees. Willing to help train helpers as needed.
Eagerness to lead and teach others the trade when necessary.
Good driving record and reliable transportation.
Routinely lift objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
KY Journeyman license a plus but not required.
